Graduation Requirements – Associate in Arts Degree
The Associate in Arts Degree is awarded upon completion of a minimum of 60 semester hours of course credit satisfying core degree requirements as well as the requirements of the chosen curriculum.

A.A. Core Degree Requirements:

a. Communications
9 credit hours
b. Computational Sciences 3-6 credit hours
c. Science 7-8 credit hours

1 lab/ 1 non-lab course, including one course selected from life sciences and one course from physical sciences required.

d. Humanities & Fine Arts 9 credit hours

At least one course selected from humanities and one course from the fine arts.

e. Social/Behavioral Sciences 9 credit hours

Three courses from at least two different disciplines.

f. Electives 19-23 credit hours

Associate Degree candidates must meet entrance requirements, must register in one of the areas of concentration and must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 (C) or higher, based on all courses attempted at Springfield College. A maximum of two semester hours of credit in Physical Education will be accepted towards graduation requirements. At least 20 of the last 30 semester hours applicable to the Associate Degree must be earned at Springfield College. Courses numbered less than 100 cannot be counted toward the 60 semester hours necessary for graduation.

Entrance requirements and financial obligations must be satisfactorily met before any degree will be awarded.
