Internationals host free lunch at Ursula Hall
One of today's quotes is from Milton Friedman, an economist who has had a major effect on U.S. government policy over the years. He says you can't get a free lunch. The second quote is from an SCI instructor, who says there's an exception to that rule if you go to SCI. We're dishing out a free lunch at Ursula Hall at noon Wednesday, Nov. 29, at SCI's International Fair. "It's a lot of fun," says Harraah Howard, co-president. "It's a good way to meet a lot of interesting people." The other co-president is Patrick Moenti Doe. ... Lots of new writing in The Sleepy Weasel, SCI's online literary magazine, too. Harraah has a compelling story on race relations. And there's poetry by Peter Marwa, Sheila Reiser, Ben Moore and Robyn Merrick. A stunning "baby reindeer" photo, just in time for Christmas, too, from Richard Kohlrus. ... More good work in the hopper -- keep visiting our Web site at <www.sci.edu/sleepyweasel/news.html>. We're always looking for more writers and artists. too. We feature writing by and about students, faculty, staff and friends of SCI. Give us a holler -- faculty adviser Pete Ellertsen is the contact person. We'll link to your stories from this page.
"There's no such thing as a free lunch." -- Milton Friedman, economist
